Compliance & Product Rules
All sellers on Rivernue.com must meet our compliance standards to keep the platform safe, legal, and valuable for every user.
A. What’s Allowed
Accepted Product Origin Requirements
- EU Manufacturing: All finished products must be manufactured within an EU member state.
- Majority EU Value: The majority of the product’s value (materials, labor, production) must originate from within the EU.
- Raw Materials: Non-EU raw materials/components are allowed where industry standard (e.g. electronics, some textiles), but must not make up the main value of the product.
- Declared Origin: Sellers must truthfully declare manufacturing location and, if requested, provide evidence.
B. Proof & Documentation
Documentation & Proof Guidelines
- Company Registration:
Provide valid EU company registration and VAT number. - Proof of EU Manufacturing:
Upon request, documentation may include:- Factory address or facility images
- Certificates of origin or compliance
- Invoices for raw materials or finished goods
- Product Declarations:
Clear and honest product descriptions, including country of origin, are required for every listing. - Spot Checks:
Rivernue.com may conduct random checks or request further documentation at any time.
C. What’s Not Allowed
Prohibited Products & Practices
- Non-EU Origin:
Products manufactured or primarily assembled outside the EU are strictly prohibited. - False Declarations:
Falsifying country of origin or documentation is grounds for immediate removal and permanent ban. - Reselling:
Listings from pure resellers or distributors, without direct manufacturing involvement, are not accepted. - IP Infringement:
No counterfeit, unlicensed, or copyright/trademark-infringing products. - Dangerous or Prohibited Goods:
No weapons, illegal drugs, chemicals, endangered species, or any item banned by EU law. - Gray Areas:
If a product’s origin or compliance is unclear, Rivernue.com may request more information or decline the listing at our discretion. - Third-country Value:
Products with significant value added outside the EU (even if finished in the EU) may be disallowed at our discretion.
